Richard ("Dick") A. Brekke

Dick was born and raised in Scobey, Montana, a rural farming and ranching community in northeastern Montana. Dick attended his first year of college at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and finished his college education at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana, graduating in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (with an accounting concentration). Dick then attended the University of Montana School of Law and graduated in 1977 with a Juris Doctorate. Dick next attended the New York University School of Law's graduate tax program as a Kenneson Fellow and graduated in 1978 with an LL.M. in Taxation.

Dick has practiced law in Billings since 1978 and, prior to forming Brekke & Hoskins PLLC with Lance Hoskins, was an associate and partner with the Billings office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP for approximately 18 years.

Dick has been a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Montana (one term as chair of its Tax and Probate Council), the Yellowstone County Bar Association (one term on its board of directors), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Montana Society of Certified Public Accountants (one term as chair of its Federal Taxation Committee) and the Billings Chapter of Certified Public Accountants. Dick has been a certified public accountant (CPA) in Montana since 1978, but presently maintains his certificate in a non-practicing status. Earlier in his career, Dick was often a speaker at professional tax and estate planning seminars. Dick has been a member of the advisory board for the annual University of Montana School of Law Tax Institute for many years, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America publication and has a "AV" rating in Martindale-Hubbell.

Dick is married and has three sons and one stepson. Dick has been active in various civic organizations in Billings, including the Billings Area Chamber of Commerce (particularly its Legislative Affairs Committee and its Sales Tax Subcommittee), the National Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse, and King of Glory Lutheran Church (including terms as chair of its Finance Committee and Treasurer). Dick was a member of the board of directors of Saint Vincent Healthcare, a regional hospital and healthcare organization operated by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health Services Corporation of Leavenworth, Kansas, having previously served as a member of the board of directors of Saint Vincent Foundation. Dick was a member of the board of directors of Billings Big Sky Little League and has coached Little League baseball for many years.

Lance R. Hoskins

Lance was born and raised in Billings, Montana. Lance attended the University of Montana and Montana State University and graduated from Montana State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Business (with an accounting concentration). Lance then attended the University of Montana School of Law and graduated in 1987 with a Juris Doctorate.

Lance has practiced law in Billings since 1988 and, prior to forming Brekke & Hoskins PLLC with Dick Brekke, was an associate and partner with Dorsey & Whitney LLP for 14 years.

Lance has been a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Montana, the Yellowstone County Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Montana Society of Certified Public Accountants. Lance has been a certified public accountant (CPA) in Montana since 1984, but presently maintains his certificate in a non-practicing status. Lance is listed in The Best Lawyers in America publication and has a "BV" rating in Martindale-Hubbell.

Lance is married and has four children. Lance has also coached local youth basketball, soccer and ASA softball teams.

Andrew T. Billstein

Andrew was born and raised in Billings, Montana. Andrew attended Hillsdale College (in Hillsdale, Michigan) and graduated from the same in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy. He then attended the University of Montana School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 2003. Andrew has been an associate with Brekke & Hoskins PLLC since 2003.

Andrew is a member of the State Bar of Montana and the Yellowstone Area Bar Association. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Eastern Montana Association of Affordable Housing, Faith Evangelical Church, the Billings Symphony and Billings Christian Schools. On Saturdays in the fall, he is generally nervously cheering for his beloved Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. On Sundays, he can be found at Faith Evangelical Church unless, of course, the trout are rising on the Stillwater River.
